It's not too late to change your mind about going for the concert.If you are free please come down and support your alumni.Sec1s just because your seniors are not going for the concert doesn't mean you shouldn't.You can also make it a batch outing.
Now for disciplinary matters.There should only be 1 person talking at a time and that would be the instructors for that day.Even if whatever they are talking about does not concern you,it doesn't mean that you can talk.If you have questions you can ask your seniors but don't talk unnecessarily.And please show respect to whoever who is speaking at the front.I don't want to hush you guys up everytime.

The JC band festival is this friday.Some of our alumni will be playing.The tickets are $12.It will take place at the Esplanade at 7.30 pm.If you are interested pls pay the $12 to Kin Feng tmr.I really encourage you to go.It's good for exposure and it also can be a band/section outing.Please if you are doing this friday, come down to the esplanade and support our alumni.Thanks.

Attendance today was quite bad.So i need the SLs to make sure everybody comes down tmr.If they cannot attend practise,an MC or parent letter must be given to the secretary.
SLs please call your alumni to come down for band practises.a lot of them are free.They can contribute a lot to your section and the whole band.And this is the time when we really need their support.So please encourage the alumni to come down.

Hi guys.Hope you enjoyed your break.Cause tmr we start practising for SYF.Everybody please take this seriously.We have 4 months to perfect our pieces.This means no more slacking during sectionals.I have caught you guys slacking before and i let you go without any punishment.But from tmr onwards i see you slacking, the whole band will get it from me.Section leaders please focus on your juniors.Clear all their doubts and make sure they know their work.

a few things to take note form tomorrow, those who are performing for the fanfare, general salute and national anthem for tomorrow, you MUST memorise the scores and play. Rachel, izzat salena and trumpets section, atiqah please take note. Ms dianah will be testing you again tomorrow to make sure that you all memorise the peices well. those playing for the general salute, boys fanfare and national anthem is required to report at 10am for rehearsal tmr. lunch and dinner will be provided. thats all peeps. rest well tonight and enjoy your performance tomorrow~ :)

During the performance this is going to happen:
1.Those who are playing the fanfare will be outside the staff room.
2.Those not playing the fanfare but playing the National Anthem will wait at the second floor staircase landing and will join the fanfare players while going down to the courtyard.
3.Those only playing for the concert will wait in the classroom behind the stage in concert formation.
4.After the National Anthem,the band will join the rest in the classroom and wait for the concert.

That's all.You must be silent while moving from place to place.Otherwise people will hear you from the courtyard.
Remember to bring along your white long sleeved shirt and black pants.and iron them.I should not see any crumpled shirts.All black hair accessories for girls.No other colours.
I hope you guys coorporate with sir,the teachers and the leaders.Try not to get any scolding alright.We want this to run smoothly.All the best for the performance.Play from your heart.

These are the things you guys need to do ,bring or give tmr:
1.All of you must confirm the number of tickets and pay the full amount tmr.Everybody MUST sell at least 3 tickets including seniors who are performing.

2.You must give me a list of all performances you have participated in(eg,achievement day,50th anniversary concert.NBC,etc),your leadership position if you have one and any cip hours you have recieved in THIS YEAR only.

3.Tmr you will also be washing instruments and you must bring a black t-shirt and a silver cloth if have.

Hey guys, just dropping by to congratulate the appointed committee yesterday. Going to make it short. I believe and hope that the committee will work TOGETHER and improve the band. There is a lot of space for improvement in this band, and I wish to see changes in the band. Changes for the good, and not bad, that is. Each committee member MUST know their roles and responsibilities well. If you are not sure yet, kindly go to your seniors and ask them. IF they do not know, you can always approach me, or Pat or any of the alumnis, not forgetting your teachers and instructors. We need to “throw away” old bad habits and start a new with a good habits. Start a new era and which in generations to come will follow and IMPROVE when they take over.

Each and everyone of you have my support. I will try my best to work with you guys to make AI BAND to be a better band.

Lastly, to all the other who has not gotten any post, it’s not the end of the world. Some of you, maybe, it’s not the time yet or simply, there are limited post. So, don’t be upset. You can always help the committee in one way or the other. Without your support, the committee cannot run well as well. Thus, I hope the band will give full support to the appointed committee.

To the committee, once again, CONGRATULATION and do a good job for the band. Try your best to bring AI BAND back up on feet. I BELIEVE, YOU CAN DO IT!

A very big congratulations to all of u people who are in the committee!
Committee and batch of Sec 3s! Cooperate together to plan stuffs that you think you will need.
As I've said, everyone makes a different in band.
I don't emphasize ONE BAND ONE SOUND for fun.
Really wish that you all can make the band once again lively.

As members of the band,
1) Feel proud to be a band member
2) Play along with one another
3) Enjoy the only moments during band
4) Strive hard and work hard together as a band

You can not only work together during band, likewise, for studies too!
See, end of year is reaching soon right, Sec3s come together as sec3s, so on and so forth, revise together, die together (SHHH), score together :)

Sec 3s batch can even come together to DISCUSS for your band camp proposal!
What type of games you want to play, duration of the camp is always negotiable with both Ms Diana and Mr De.
Yes, SYF is next year, while focusing to the journey towards SYF, don't forget to enjoy, appreciate what people had done to you.

Sec 2s, what I would like to suggest to you is that, come together as a batch and start planning maybe for next year JUNE BAND CAMP? Wont you all want to have camp during June too? All the other CCA grps have camp in June, you all can actually like propose a combine camp with them. If you don't want, an individual camp is also alright!
And, you can start planning a PROPER step down ceremony as your sec 3 leave.
If you want them to visit you often, leave them a deep impression with your PASSION AND LOVE.

Sec1s, you also can do alot of things, first, starting with practising HARD enough and make YOUR JBF a success. This will be your first impact on the current Sec3s as they are the ones guiding you!
Then, in my opinion, if you appreciate your current seniors ALOT ALOT, give them a surprise! Play pieces for them to appreciate their efforts and time spent on you guiding you since you joined the band. Then, as you reach Sec2, try to do what I've mentioned above for the current batch of Sec 2s.
Practice Hard, Study Hard, Play Hard! <3 font="font">

Congrats again!
Work together as one to strive for a better band alrights?
Please don't neglect one another, make it a democratic committee, sometimes you can vote for decisions, sometimes, please abide to rules, listen to your BM and DM.
They are there for a reason, BUT, if they are in the wrong, don't be afraid to voice out.
If you are scared, you can always approach me~ Cos I'm very KPO. :)
In music wise, please listen to your student conductor, listen when she speaks, take down changes as she points out, play correctly after all the ammendments.
Instruments wise, please approach your QM,
I remember that there is the LOAN BOOK, QM, please catch up with it by showing good examples before the instruments spoils or gone missing. Please also report any damages of instruments to the Head QM.
Head QM please report to your BM or DM.
Librarians, I am confident that you are able to do your job diligently and meticulously!
Treasurer, collect enough funds so that next time, your can organise OUTINGS~!!!~~!!!
Secretary, work closely with teachers in charge, providing them with attendance wise support and admin supports.
SLs, u are the most important ones, coordinate your section well, bond with them! Play the best music.

To wrap up my LONG LONG SPEECH for committee, PLEASE REPORT ALL INCIDENTS TO YOUR DM AND BM! Even if it's like someone insult you all these, report! So that they can solve the problems and prevent problem from getting worser.

just somethings to note. EVERYONE is to wear socks for tmr's performance. Girls all of you'll should have bought your pants by now. No jeans tmr okay. Okay guys we've been practicing for quite some time for the 50th anniversary concert so rest well so that we can play well tmr :). Also read what musa has posted. Jokes aside, our juniors said this straight to our face.
Even they could see what's happening here. Fun is fun, but you all should know when you need to be serious. Don't tell me you guys don't feel even abit embarassed? Even if you know you didn't do anything to make your juniors think of you in this way. How about those who are guilty of such?

Guys, if you're thinking 'who gives a shit', you really have attitude problems. SERIOUS attitude problems.

The points highlighted in red are some of the things that are super obvious, just needing to be amphasised if you all can't see it yet. #4, on your part, is.. Come on seniors, really? The juniors's brain is programmed to emulate whatever they see done by respected people, its NOT their fault.
And #6, the reason why we collect them in the first place to BECAUSE of #6! We've stoppped collecting 'em, cause we thought you've learnt abit from why we did it in the first place. Do we have to start doing again?

The ones highlighted in blue are the things i can't stress out to you all any further! THIS HAS TO CHANGE. Some of them can be laughable uhh, like #16. Ouh wait, thats the only one. And #11, try to work with it. The rest? They're intolerable, got that?

We can't have our juniors to think about us in such a negative way. We have to change for the better! Yes, well, I'm saying all this when yesterday was our last practice and Sunday is our last performance. This means that all of this is in the next batch's hands.

Music wise, there's nothing much to say cause its all okay on that part. But it's some of these off-music parts that stops us from improving even better. Its exactly 12months till our next SYF. Lets all do it right this time!

Tommorow is full dress rehearsal for 50th anniversary if you do not know.Have a heavy recess and do not be late or there will be consequences...Percussion instrument need to be down at 2.45p.m so help to bring them down and all the girl seniors involved in the rehearsal,you all need to be in black pants not skirts and NO ANKLE SOCKS.If any of your teachers hold you all back for any extra lesson etc etc, tell them that you have 50th anniversary rehearsal.Also, make sure that the pieces in your file are only the 3 pieces for 50th anniversary, chorale and hands across the sea.The others dont put in the file but just bring it.Thanks :)

Sec1s need not report but if you want to practice,
by all means. Come at the reporting time.

Section Leaders, I need you to bring a plasticbag/box/whatever can be used
to hold your own section's phones.
For now, I'll let the SLs hold onto their phones incase we need to send out any important
messages during sectionals.
However the rest of the section has to surrender their phones.
But, if i receive any complaints from your sectionmates that you use your phones for
the inappropriate reasons, you WILL have to surrender yours.

For the rest of you, there shouldn't be any reason like your phones are dead or its in your bag.
You will surrender all your phones at the beginning of band practice. Dead, or alive.
It will be returned to you after FallOut.

Reasons for why we're doing this?
Firstly, so that there will be no slacking during sectionals/combined. You have to
take everything during band seriously.
Secondly, you can't escape from FallOut.
I hope for the cooperation of the SLs on this.

Plan for tomorrow's sectionals:
The second halves of both 'Hands Across the Sea' and 'Concerto for Drumset and Concert Band'
till 4.30pm.
Then combined sectionals until 5.30. QMs, facilitate the sectionals.
Pack up and Fall in in the atrium by 5.40.

Before sir comes, Faisal will be taking us.
He'll be doing recap on some of the things we've done
before that most of you had probably forgotten.
So be ready with a pen and a piece of paper to
write down all necessary information!

Show a good example towards the new sec 1s! (:
Answer sir or any of the majors with that UMPH feeling.
Sell the band towards them.
Intake is small as it is, we don't want to be losing any members.

Ouh btw, being released late is no longer an excuse for COMING late.
If you're released late and know you don't have that much time for lunch,
just have a light one. A bread or curry puff or whatever.
