Everybody MUST pay the money for your new band uni.

Vest - $20 after subsidy
Shirt - $26 (no subsidy)
Pants - $30 (no subsidy)
Tie - $4.50 after subsidy

So those who ordered vest and tie only will pay $24.50
If you order the whole set it's $81.I asked Ms Diana about the subsidy for the FAS people alr but she say she has to check with Mrs Chew about it.So people under the FAS must bring the required amount just in case.EVERYBODY MUST PAY.Ifyou never bring money tmr, you go home and take it.That's all people.Good night :)

                Sorry for the late update. There was some problems with updating...Anyways! Tomorrow is the full dress rehearsal for the acheivement day both parade and rehearsal, please give your best in playing and play from the heart. Feel the Music! For this year there will be some slight changes, instead of the parade in the courtyard, it will be held indoors this year instead. so please take note. Please report in your yellow band tee, black pants black socks and shoes. The main snare drummer and bass drummer and crash player is to be dismissed at 1.30pm tomorrow and meet me at the atrium. The rest will report as per normal in their No. 3 at 2.40pm. Last thing, i repeat for the LAST TIME. Please do not lock the band store door using the lower lock as it is damaged, anyone found to have locked it AGAIN will have to unlock it on theri own. Im sick and tired to be the locksmith and help you guys unlock time and time again. Thats all see see you tomorrow. Just reminding, SYC IS IN 7DAYS TIME, i think you guys know what you are supposed to do.... *ahem* bring instrument home *ahem* :)

Hey Yo Peepos~!!!!
                                 Today's rehearsal was generally well done! *claps* whoohoooo~~~ Concert       
segment was good just that you all have to move in faster! Trumpeter of Krakow was good and Power lady hits can work more on the dynamics! As for the parade segment, I sincerely apologize for some confusion and the changing of pieces! This is the rough sequence of the peices : The Thunderer, M.O.F, Fanfare No.! ( Boys Fanfare) , General Salute, Spirited Away and lastly the Sousa Times Twosa. Please spend the effort to practice and take note of what i changed and said today such as the change of  time signature from the percussion starting to the start of the pieces and the abrupt ending of Spirited Away and the Repeat of Sousa Times Twosa from the end to bar 5. I will try and go through the pieces tomorrow if there is time, if there isn't, i hope you guys can bring your instruments home and practice. The brasses need to be stronger as like what I've said, the band playing now is like listening to music without the bass, it feels very empty, thats why the tuba, trombones, euhonium plays a very important part. Please bear that in mind, if you feels that you need more players, please do not hesitate to approach me or ms dianah and we will see what we can do. Sec 1's, I hope you can learn from today's rehearsal and try to excel in your playing! 

Lastly, just to let you all know. SYC is in 12 DAYS! please bear in mind that it also means that you have 4 precious practice left. Please do not be late and report on time! Please do not fool  around and be serious in perfecting your music! That's all and enjoy your night. See you peeps tomorrow!

Hey all!
           Tommorow is the full dress rehearsal for the achievement day concert and parade! Concert segment will be as per usual, the whole band will perform Power Hits! However,  parade segment there will be some slight changes, only the sec 4s will be playing for the parade segment and while the rest will be gettting ready in the hall for the actual day. Sec 3's will be as back up thus they will have to practice the parade pieces as well. these are the parade segment peices:

                                             ~Spirited away

Please make sure you have this score by tomorrow as the sec 4's will be in the rehearsal as well. Which means you have to play your music. Please do not be late and be punctual so as to not waste time. We will warm up and start practising ur acheivement day peices. Please report in your band tee, black pants and black socks and shoes. I do not wish to see any outlandish shoes and no tapered pants please.

As for the sec 1's, you report as per usual in No.5 uniform. Please refer to the side on the band blog for more info. If you are checking the band blog using your mobile. Please remember to change the view to desktop view to be able to see it!

It BAND CAMP!Yay.so remember to bring everything that's on the list. And remember to pack no 3 uniform which is band tee, black pants and shoes. this is very important. and memorise your power lady hits. we are playing that for achievement day rehearsal tmr.Other than that everybody is to attend the exchange programme at Loyang sec.Sec 4s if you have lessons on mon or wed you can go and then come back.Sec 3s and 2s you are not excused for any lesson on any day. Well , during the camp take all the practises seriously and do not slack.but have fun at the same time.Don't forget anything if not you have to borrow from your friend.and as you know there is no pop.but there will be a promotion ceremony on wed afternoon before dismissal.Take care of your belongings and if you lose anything, teachers or majors are not respomsible.And one more important thing:follow the time given to you to finish doing things.If you extend the time,worse come to worse we will cut down your lunch and dinner time.Don't take all this lightly.It is really irritating to see you guys just doing everything slowly when you know you don't have much time.Ok.So take note of this.Lastly follow instructions clearly,abide by all the rules and well work hard.SYF is just days away.

Prac ends at 5 tmr becos of PTM.oh and there is a very important briefing tmr about BAND CAMP by Ms Dianah.So you better be there.
Tmr is the deadline for the 2 consent forms: Band camp/Loyang exchange prog &St.Pats exchange prog this saturday.You never give me, you are not going.simple as that.
Tmr DO NOT wear band tee.wear half uni as we are wearing band tee,black pants and shoes(no court shoes for girls) for the exchange with st pats.Sec 1s yes you are going too and you guys wear half uni.

Like what Mr De said, at the st pats exchange prog don't be afraid to ask questions,ask as many qns as you like.Most importantly learn from them.And i don't want to see any sloppy behaviour anymore understand?Be more serious and quick and don't take very long to do stuff.

Hi guys.Few things to take note of.
-tmr's practise is as per normal in the hall.Move your instruments faster and help to move the percussion instruments.
-This saturday is our exchange programme with St.Pats.EVERYBODY MUST GO!!not sure about sec 1s.
-Our SYF is on 9th April!which is a tuesday.so there is 28 more days left.
-there is no pracrise on thursday.Friday practise will start at 2pm and end at 5 for ptm.

One more thing.Work hard, give this SYF all you have and make everyone proud alright.

So, the sec 2, 3, 4 are able to buy JUST the vest and tie alone! BUT, it comes with a condition, No one, i say again NO ONE is supposed to wear demin/velvet material pants or those skinny tapered until like asdfghjkl pants. It must be smart black pants and smart collared buttoned shirt. Thats the deal~ 
As for the sec 1's, you have to make the FULL set and only those who are performing for SYC will be making the uniform first. The rest will make at a later date.Please start saving up your money and those who are making the full set, it will cost around 50+. *This price is already after subsidy*
Please meet at 3pm SHARP tommorow as the tailor will be dropping by. Please ask for excuse from your teachers for a while for those who have classes.

For band practices next week. Band practices for next THURSDAY will be cancelled due to the sports carnival but on friday. Band practices will be as USUAL. So there should not be any reason that you are absent from band without a valid reason. Those who skips will receive their due punishment. Simple as that.
Please start to put in serious effort in your playing and you people should be bringing your instruments home to practice as there is seriously not much time alrd! Please make this SYC a good one and not disappoint the effort the teachers, instructors and tutors have put in! Make them know that their efforts were worthwhile okay! so reporting time tmr is 2.40pm.The band schedule says 3pm but always check the blog for actual reporting time.3pm is when Mr De comes and we start our SYF training.K so this must not be a reason for being late.
Please check facebook for the new rule about our dresscode.For tmr it's #4.

You guys should have memorised at least half of sarabande and TOK.Cause we only like 6 practises before our rehearsal.You people must SERIOUSLY start taking band practice SERIOUSLY.emphasis on the word SERIOUSLY.SYF is in 2 months time!!!!!!

P.S as for our beloved new sec 1s.Please take care of them and teach them everything you know.I don't want you to neglect them.If anyone of them complain to me , you guys will get it.

So tmr will be the first band practise for our new sec 1s.Don't bully them.Talk to them and just don't neglect or ignore the sec 1s.
We will do the usual.Every section will see how well every sec 1 can play the instrument.Sir will interview them.then we play games.The order of this might change.I really need your co-orperation tmr.If you are talking when I am talking the sec 1s will follow and we just waste time.
SYF practise will continue after the sec 1s are released.we only have a few more practises before our rehearsal and we need  to perfect both pieces before that so that Sir won't be wasting our precious rehearsal slot by correcting all our mistakes over there.That is all.See you all tmr!

So tmr practise will be in the music room.Today's practise was ok only.
SLs pls get your section to come on time. everytime i assemble the band there is only a few people.and the latecomers just stroll in taking their own sweet time.and then you ask me what to do.I will only say my instructions once so pls be punctual.
Sec 4s if there is not enough time to eat after schl then have a heavy lunch.

I really want to see full attendance tmr.Fridays are CCA days so there should be no excuses or latecomers.Would you guys prefer having band on thursday from 4 to 6pm with Mr De instead of monday??Please let me know tmr.Cause if a lot of you prefer thursday practises then it can be done.

Tmr is talent ID day 2.It is compulsory for all sec 4s and 3s to attend.Also 1 sec 2 per section.If you want more also can.We(sec 4s,3s) would most probably be performing power lady hits for the sec 1s.That is all.See you tmr.

Talent ID for the sec 1s will be on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday.All SLs and 1 more person from each section will be involved.
For TMR ONLY, talent id will be at the atrium as there is o level music in the music room.You guys will take up the tables at the atrium.I want you to draw and decorate your section name on a piece of paper so that you can stick it on the table for the sec 1s to see.

Dresscode: #6 with schl skirt/shorts/long pants
All of you will go for sectionals first.Then the SLs and one person will come back to the atrium at 3.25pm and get ready for the sec 1s to come.After talent ID ends, the SLs and other member will join your section for sectionals.
