"I know this affects everyone.. but we've been able to jump from COP to silver.. .and i dun think its impossible to jump from bronze to gold. The best thing for us now is to concentrate on NBC.. and its better if we all just trust each other. We may be small but our sound and unity is the key to keeping us stay together. Lets bring out the Gold in ourselves"

Percussionist - Mraz#

Qouted from your very own member...

In the light of everything that happened...

Basically, what there's to say have been fully elaborated by Faisal and Firdaus.
Yes, everyone is upset about the award, the alumnus too.
But, just like what Mr Zee said, it's not the end of the world.
Do not fret about the award that has already been written into e pages of history.
The band must stay strong together, you all cant afford to fall right now.
I've seen a few batches of band growing up together, working hard together.
I cant think of how unfortunate the band has been.
From my batch,
we have been changing conductors and so many things
yet, the band have always taken things to stride and become stronger.
I believe this setback wont be the tripping stone nor the road block that inhibits your growth, the strengthening of the bonds.
Work hard from now on, it doesnt really have to be for the alumnus, the teachers nor the school.
Do yourselves proud,
be proud that when people from the outside ask you which CCA are you from, you can say
I'm from AICB
We'll not be giving up on you all, so do not give up.

Alumni who comes from the stone age

okay, im typing on behalf of my tag.
well, like what i said in the tag, you guys really shouldnt fret too much over the results. yes, i did cry as well. BUT, dont let this setback pull your spirits down. some of you may not care, but for those who do, thank you for caring.
yesterday, to be frank, was one of the best Overtures ive heard from you all. actually the best. Folklore too. i really think so. and so did the other alumnis who usually go back for practise. those who just went yesterday wouldnt really know how much the band has gone through. what happened internally and all. so, it would be easy to say, its okay. yes, it IS okay. but give yourselves time to pick up the small pieces, put them back together with a stronger foundation. and build it higher, with a stronger backbone. im pretty sure you will all succeed in NBC. whatever the piece, practise hard! make your seniors proud. make your school proud. make your teachers proud. most importantly, make the band and yourselves proud.
like ive told some of you, the results are not what we have ALL expected it to be. and yes, its harsh how time has turned itself against us. it feels like we just got folklore yesterday. and you cant all put the blame on yourselves. we kept changing the choice piece. thats one thing then really pulled the band down; including some who always go M.I.A for practise without a reason. and yet they think they're that good? bullcrap. those who think you're good, think again. you're thinking too highly of yourselves. GET A GRIP. thats one thing ive ALWAYS wanted to say.
and yeah, some of you may be good or already in your senior years, BUT, it doesnt give you reason to just come for practise once a week? or when you feel like it. im pointing out things which can be changed for the band. for the better of the band.
yes i know, you all are still feeling down. but why not just say everything now?
give the sec 1's good basics to build from. make them independant. change the way all of you work as a band. change attitudes.
like the post below this. dont give up, seeing that you guys have already held on for so long. NBC is the next move. i hope the cruise will let you guys know that the teachers are trying to change the way things are around here. NBC. my aim : gold.
you see how much faith i have in you?
and yes, maybe some of you think it isnt possible.
it is. if you guys start working hard as soon as prac resumes!
figure out your notes. get articulation right. get your pitching right.
most importantly, get you attitudes and sounds right.
some of you really improved during the past few months. continue improving.
the gold really is possible. if you really practise.
thats all i have to say.

one more thing.
music from the heart is most pure.

Yours truly,
Alumni, Faisal

Well done...

Dear AICB members, I would like to say, Congrats for getting the medal...

Although it is not of what you wanted, I believe that all of you have done your utmost best.
I know the band can do better and I BELIEVE AICB CAN DO IT for the next round of SYF and Upcoming NBC. Remember this "With love and patience, nothing is impossible. " If You put love into your music and Put in effort with addition of patience, I'm sure you can get what You think is impossible now.

I Hope AICB will never ever give up...
"When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place."
So, why give up now when you were holding on all the while...
there is another useful quote,
"If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again. "

STAY STRONG AICB!!! YOU GUYS WERE GREAT...
Be Proud...

And a last Quote, "No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it. "
A person alone can never play a band piece, you need the band...
So work as one...

JIAYOUS JIAYOUS For the future...

On a personal note, i think You guys sounded great for the choice piece. better in practices.Well Done!!!....

Yours Truely
